I am writing to remind you of 2 evening events this month for epilepsy and EEG.
Chronologically, the first is the first Winter Pediatric EEG and Pediatric Epilepsy Board Review Seminar January 22, 2009 held in conjunction with the faculty from St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and including trainees at Temple, Drexel and St. Chris. All Philadelphia area Neurology residents are invited. Physicians in practice planning to take the EEG boards or the Added Qualification in Clinical Neurophysiology Exam will find this helpful. Anyone who reads pediatric EEG on an occasional basis will also benefit.
There will be 3 sessions taught by Drs Ignacio Valencia, Divya Khurana and Karen Carvalho
The topics are:
Neonatal and pediatric EEG: Technical and developmental aspects of EEG in the very young
Pediatric EEG interpretation
Pediatric Epilepsy: What you must know to practice as well as uncommon but frequently tested syndromes.
Each session will be 40 minutes long with 10 minutes for Q&A. Faculty may utilize pre and post tests.
